Broome and Ditchingham Playgroup near Bungay provides free pre-school / nursery early education for 3* and 4 year old children (*from the term after their 3rd birthday). It is a non profit making organisation run by a voluntary management committee made up of parents of children at the preschool and members of the local community. It opened in 1974, operating in its present location since 1981 in the Village Hall in Ditchingham, near Bungay, Norfolk. The playgroup has a good Ofsted report, with 'a lovely range of toys, resources and activities that promote all areas of learning'. It is registered on the Early Years Register and a maximum of 24 children may attend at any one time. All children share access to a secure enclosed outdoor play area. Children come from the local and surrounding area.
